How to Delete your IE history Effectively
The Internet Explorer History list makes it easy to find and return to Web sites and pages you’ve visited in the past. Whether it’s today or a few weeks ago, the History list can record every page you visit, so it’s easy to go back later on.
But it’s a big trouble on shared computers as others can access your history & I don’t think you would love to share that information.
.
1. Delete browser history on Exit
Internet Explorer gives you the option to automatically delete your browsing history each and every time you exit the browser. The type of data that gets deleted is dependent on which options are checked off in the Delete Browsing History section
To get that option activated, Simply Click on “Tools”
Select “Internet Options” from the Drop Down menu
Navigate to “General” Tab
Check the “Delete browsing history on exit” button located under “Browser History”
Or you can click on “Delete” option to delete the present history from the explorer
Or you can click on “Settings” to change the way IE maintain the Browser History
2. Cleaning Registry History
For cleaning the Registry History

Simply go to Start > Run
Then type in “regedit”
[Note]: Please make a valid backup of your registry hives before continuing
Navigate to the following key location:
![]()
There you will find all the typed URLs from the history
You can delete all or selected according to your wish.
But in case if you deleting only 1 or selected, make sure you keep the sequence in order. Else it will affect the other keys & may malfunction.
