Run Android on Your Desktop, Laptop or Netbook

Are you interested in Google Android’s OS. Want to try it out in your Desktop or Netbook? Now you can run Google Android from a Memory Card or Flash Drive & feel how amazing it is.

• Install Android On Your Memory or Card Flash Drive:

Take a memory card or flash drive with a minimum of 256 MB capacity & format it.

Download the Android setup on your drive from here. (StableRelease > android-x86-1.6-r2.iso)

Meanwhile head over to the Unetbootin Site & download it as well.

Once you are done with both of your downloads,

1. Run UNetbootin
2. Then click on the bullet beside “DiskImage”
3. Click the “… “ button
4. Locate the “Android ISO” file that you have downloaded.
5. Select the memory card or flash drive in the menu.
6. Click OK

Depending on your flash drive’s speed this copying procedure may take a few moments.

Once it’s done it will prompt you to reboot.

You can Exit & run Google Android from your flash drive whenever you want or you can go ahead with the installation by clicking on Reboot.

You can also try installing Google Android on a computer that has a CD/DVD drive by just burning the ISO on a disk. But it can be nice not to waste a CD just for this & more of all as we all know that Netbooks don’t have CD drive.

• Using Android-x86 On Your Computer

Now you are ready to Run your Google Android OS on your Laptop, Desktop or even a Netbook.

Reboot your computer & Boot from your USB Device.

Note: You may have to change the boot option from BIOS Menu by pressing F10, F2 or another key, depending on your computer.

Once you boot from the USB Drive Select “Live CD – Run Android-x86 without installation.”

After a Text Prompt for a moment you will see the Android Boot Screen.

You will see the Google Android Desktop after a couple of seconds.

Hold your Click to open a context menu, such as to add a desktop widget or change the background. Or you can try opening up a menu by simply right clicking on it.

With the included AndAppStore you can try installing new applications.
